I did not realize there was a trunk in the AW11. I knew there was a frunk...but the trunk looks quite large actually. This just made me want one even more. I'm looking to buy one this spring hopefully.

Edit: WTF? Kinja keeps eating my headlines

A friend had one. He loved it.

Yeah, it's surprisingly functional. You can fit way more than you'd expect in an AW11, just not bulky things. The rear trunk is deeper than you'd expect, but it's not very deep (front to back). It's certainly capable of holding a few suitcases or all of your groceries or whatever, though.

I want one so bad. They're pricey around here, though. Tough to find below $4k.

You can always rescue an ugly one from rusting back into the ground.

The frunk is barely a trunk. It's mainly for the spare tire and maybe a toolbox. This is the "proper" trunk on these.

That would be ideal, but I fear if I bought it right now, it would just keep rusting. No money and no garage...

I've seen them pop up on craigslist now and then around 2500 or so for a decent one around here...i just hope they keep popping up.

same up near chi-town... last one i looked at had a whole in the block and was terribly tuned, still wanted $1,200... I wanted a beat one so I could make a replica of the 1 off groupB rally prototype.. cause well AW11 with boxy fender flares and mudflaps is just plain sexy.

Most of the rust is ugly, but not major. Nothing more than elbow grease (though tons of it) and rustoleum, and if you can get a runner under a grand, who cares if it sits for a while?

A project car on the street in front of my apartment just doesn't appeal to me. Someday, hopefully soon, I'll own a house and a garage and I'll restore my CRX, then I'll move on to other projects.

Yeah you can fit a lot of stuff back there.

It can hold way more stuff than an NSX or Fiero frunk.

The frunk size isn't bad, it's just an awkward shape. It probably has more space available than the trunk trunk.
